This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Direct and manage access and reimbursement strategies across intricate healthcare systems, treatment facilities, and specialty practices.
• Act as the main field expert on buy-and-bill processes, procurement, acquisition pathways, reimbursement, billing, coding, claims management, and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with health system executives, pharmacy teams, revenue cycle stakeholders, financial counselors, and practice administrators to eliminate barriers.
• Evaluate treatment site readiness and assist in onboarding for radioligand therapy administration.
• Work together with customer-facing and cross-functional teams on product procurement, treatment logistics, patient support services, and reimbursement solutions.
• Create and implement strategic account plans that consider local market dynamics, payer coverage, site-specific challenges, and patient access opportunities.
• Provide guidance to customers regarding reimbursement, coverage, and trends in the healthcare landscape.
• Inform customers about patient support resources and manufacturer-sponsored programs.
• Examine intricate access and reimbursement challenges and facilitate issue resolution through project management and stakeholder collaboration.
• Uphold compliance, patient privacy, integrity, and cross-functional teamwork while representing Novartis to customers and internal teams.
• A bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, supporting Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, Account Management, or related areas.
• At least 2 years of experience in a patient support role focused on specialty products.
• Proven experience collaborating with complex healthcare practices, health systems, and provider networks to enhance patient access and acquisition pathways.
• Experience in managing strategic accounts, identifying access barriers, and crafting solutions.
• Profound knowledge of manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs and their integration into healthcare office workflows.
• Experience in supporting specialty products distributed through Specialty Pharmacy networks and channels.
• Strong understanding of reimbursement and product access pathways, including specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and retail distribution models.
• Candidates must reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 100 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60-80% across a broad geographical area.
• Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• An advanced degree in business, life sciences, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
• Capability to influence and engage senior healthcare leaders and executive stakeholders through strategic discussions and presentations.
• Ability to convert complex access and reimbursement concepts into actionable solutions.
• Compliance with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may necessitate vaccination.
• Capacity to successfully complete initial training, including home study, in eight or fewer hours per day and forty or fewer hours per week.
