Associate Director, Project Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee mid-sized to large-scale digital projects, with budgets typically between $1M and $3M, encompassing websites, digital platforms, content, and campaign initiatives.

• Establish project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Lead the execution from project kick-off to delivery, ensuring timelines, briefs, and budgets are adhered to.

• Identify potential risks, resolve obstacles, and escalate issues promptly.

• Monitor and manage project finances, including estimates, actuals, ETC, and EAC.

• Optimize project workflows to minimize operational friction.

• Enhance delivery processes, templates, and methodologies.

• Assist in the integration of new tools or practices.

• Promote documentation, quality assurance, and project standards.

• Act as a primary client contact for daily delivery requirements.

• Prepare meeting agendas, facilitate project meetings, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

• Record decisions, action items, and next steps.

• Foster collaborative working relationships across departments.

• Contribute to improvements in delivery, workflow evolution, and team empowerment.

• Maintain accountability while managing relationships with peers and adjacent roles.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in digital project or program management, demonstrating ownership of large engagements or multi-track workstreams.

• Proven experience managing individual projects with budgets exceeding $1M from inception to completion.

• Strong understanding of UX/UI workflows, design systems, and digital development processes.

• Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies (e.g., Scrumfall).

• Proficient in tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and G Suite.

• Comfortable with adopting new tools as necessary.

• Strong financial acumen with experience in managing estimates, budget tracking, and profitability reporting.

• Exceptional time management and communication skills within cross-functional settings.
