Associate Director, Product Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead discovery initiatives, encompassing competitive analysis, stakeholder interviews, and synthesis of user needs.

• Create product frameworks, vision documents, and roadmap contributions aligned with business objectives and user insights.

• Convert strategic concepts into structured, scoped guidance for clients and delivery teams.

• Develop and implement prioritization models while facilitating alignment sessions.

• Review, refine, and compose user stories to ensure strategic goals are translated into execution.

• Establish success metrics and leverage data and research to support recommendations.

• Utilize AI tools throughout research, synthesis, prototyping, and the creation of deliverables.

• Provide guidance to clients on integrating AI into teams and operational methodologies under senior leadership.

• Assist Senior Directors in new business scenarios.

• Mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in product strategy, digital strategy, or a similar role, demonstrating a history of managing strategy workstreams with minimal oversight.

• Solid understanding of strategic product initiatives, including discovery, vision formulation, prioritization models, analysis interpretation, and articulating strategic intent in execution.

• Capability to convert strategic ideas into actionable direction, including shaping or reviewing user stories and product specifications.

• Proficient in facilitating workshops, presenting to senior stakeholders, maintaining a clear stance during challenges, and making trade-off decisions.

• Ability to integrate competitive research, user insights, and business context into justifiable product recommendations.

• Active and independent proficiency with AI tools for research, synthesis, prototyping, and deliverable development.

• Developing insight into AI as a capability within organizations and the ability to highlight implications for clients.

• Competence in cultivating junior team members and reliably managing defined project workstreams independently.
