
Associate Director, Logistics Network Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Develop a logistics network strategy for 3 to 5 years to optimize the distribution footprint for both manufacturing and aftermarket networks.
• Conduct cost-to-serve analysis and scenario modeling, which includes data gathering, analysis, and the formulation of proposals.
• Perform analyses of market trends, customer needs, and demand patterns.
• Lead studies on distribution center footprints, including the establishment, closure, and consolidation of facilities.
• Create presentations for executives and develop comprehensive business cases.
• Oversee design standards and decision-making frameworks.
• Set up network KPIs and processes for value tracking in collaboration with the strategic sourcing team.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Real Estate, and various business stakeholders to ensure a balance between immediate savings and optimization as well as transformational value solutions.
• Formulate proposals for capital investment and conduct ROI analyses.
• Drive the implementation of changes within the network.
• Influence and facilitate change across various businesses, functions, and geographic locations.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of logistics and sourcing professionals across different business units.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Act as a crucial liaison among logistics, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership.
• A University Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in logistics network optimization, strategy, and supply chain consulting, or similar roles within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or have the ability to obtain necessary export authorizations.
• Proven experience in managing teams that are cross-functional and span multiple business units.
• Operational background in managing multi-site warehouses and distribution centers.
• Proficiency in network optimization tools like LLamasoft, AIMMS, and Coupa.
• Strong analytical abilities and financial modeling skills, including the capability to develop business cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in strategy or supply chain consulting is advantageous.
