Associate Director, Epidemiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead observational research, including cohort studies, registry-based studies, and database studies aimed at understanding diseases or conducting post-market safety assessments.

• Review and synthesize existing epidemiological literature.

• Provide estimates regarding disease incidence and prevalence, disease progression, and specific risk factors associated with diseases.

• Contribute to regulatory activities, such as creating periodic safety update reports, engaging in pharmacovigilance, and developing risk management plans.

• Collaborate across functions to plan and execute evidence generation.

• Directly engage with research, development, and post-market program teams to deliver concrete outcomes, support decision-making processes, advance programs through development phases, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or ScD in Epidemiology.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or contract research organization environment.

• Proficiency in literature review and synthesis.

• Expertise in designing, conducting, and interpreting large database studies and cohort studies.

• Capacity to operate within a multi-disciplinary team framework and employ a collaborative approach to decision-making.
