This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead impartial, timely, and thorough investigations into complex or high-risk issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, serious misconduct, and significant policy breaches.
β’ Generate detailed, objective, and well-documented investigation reports, findings, and recommendations.
β’ Ensure the maintenance of complete and confidential investigative files that comply with organizational, legal, and regulatory standards.
β’ Collaborate with regional legal counsel on compliance risks across multiple states.
β’ Manage organizational responses to EEOC and state or local agency complaints, inquiries, or claims.
β’ Stay informed on employment law changes and propose updates to policies, investigative practices, and guidance for leaders.
β’ Provide advice and coaching to school, regional, and network leaders regarding personnel processes, performance improvement initiatives, and documentation workflows.
β’ Review at-will termination, suspension, and non-renewal actions for consistency and to minimize liability.
β’ Conduct training for campus leaders on staff relations, conflict management, and fostering healthy workplace cultures.
β’ Facilitate the resolution of significant workplace conflicts.
β’ Mediate intricate interpersonal disputes.
β’ Identify systemic issues and recommend specific interventions.
β’ Oversee the annual mandatory training completion through Vector, including tracking, follow-up, escalation, and reporting.
β’ Audit personnel files, I-9 records, and other employment documentation to ensure compliance.
β’ Supervise HR records governance, data integrity, confidentiality, access, and retention practices.
β’ Evaluate HR systems and processes for compliance and coordinate improvements.
β’ Manage external audits and required reporting, including EEO-1 and OSHA-related requests.
β’ Coordinate HR and Talent responses to authorizer reporting and compliance inquiries.
β’ Over 6 years of specialized Employee Relations experience.
β’ A minimum of 3 years managing multi-state workplace investigations.
β’ Proficiency in investigation planning, interviewing, credibility assessment, evidence analysis, findings development, and report writing.
β’ Strong working knowledge of federal employment law.
β’ Experience in interpreting and applying state-specific employment regulations.
β’ Prior experience in K-12 education, Charter Management Organizations (CMOs), or highly regulated multi-site environments is strongly preferred.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields.
β’ Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are highly valued.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 25% to regional school campuses for complex on-site investigations or leadership workshops.
