This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with intricate healthcare accounts to facilitate patient access and reimbursement requirements across the entire care continuum.
• Establish trustworthy relationships with providers, administrators, revenue cycle leaders, billing and coding teams, pharmacy stakeholders, and decision-makers within health systems.
• Provide education to customers regarding access, reimbursement, payer coverage, claims management, and patient support resources.
• Assess reimbursement and access issues, pinpoint treatment obstacles, and assist in formulating practical, compliant solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert on local and regional reimbursement dynamics, payer policies, and trends in the healthcare market.
• Aid in the implementation and reinforcement of coverage decisions while communicating any changes impacting patient access or account operations.
• Offer guidance on product acquisition and buy-and-bill processes, which include inventory management, ordering, billing workflows, alternate distribution channels, and sites of care.
• Work in collaboration with Patient Support Services and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, support case management, and enhance customer education.
• Share insights from customers, reimbursement trends, and market dynamics with internal teams.
• Create and implement territory-specific access and reimbursement strategies while upholding integrity and compliance.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory from an accredited four-year college or university.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, supporting Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, Account Management, or related areas.
• At least 2 years in a patient support capacity for specialty products.
• Proven experience in partnering with complex healthcare practices, health systems, and provider networks to enhance patient access and acquisition pathways.
• Experience in managing strategic accounts, identifying access challenges, and creating solutions that promote positive patient outcomes.
• Extensive understanding of manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs and their incorporation into healthcare office workflows.
• Experience supporting specialty products distributed via Specialty Pharmacy networks and channels.
• Strong familiarity with reimbursement processes and product access pathways, including specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and retail distribution models.
• Candidates must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 100 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geography, including driving and/or flying within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Ability to successfully complete initial training, including home study of eight or fewer hours per day and no more than 40 hours per week.
• Compliance with customer credentialing guidelines is necessary, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.
