Associate Director, AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain AI-focused web and mobile applications utilizing contemporary frameworks and engineering best practices.

• Spearhead the creation of AI-integrated features using Python, LangGraph, and advanced LLM tools.

• Conceptualize and execute agentic workflow applications, encompassing orchestration, tool utilization, stateful processes, and human-in-the-loop methodologies.

• Create comprehensive solutions spanning front end, back end, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

• Produce clean, scalable, and maintainable code in TypeScript (Node), JavaScript (React), and Python by leveraging established design patterns.

• Enhance applications for performance, scalability, dependability, and long-term sustainability.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features, demonstrating strong ownership of results.

• Offer architectural direction, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to engineering teams.

• Collaborate with clients to lead demonstrations, facilitate rollout discussions, and ensure successful implementation of AI-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or ideally a Master’s degree with over 7 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or architecture.

• Proven track record in developing commercially successful, public-facing applications, preferably AI-native.

• Required strong expertise in React.js, Node.js, and Python.

• Experience in full stack development with comprehensive knowledge of all components of the stack.

• Established experience in building production applications, backed by a robust portfolio.

• Practical experience in developing AI applications, AI agents, or agentic workflows.

• Strong comprehension of LangGraph or comparable orchestration frameworks.

• Solid understanding of document and SQL databases.

• Familiarity with GCP and cloud-native architecture.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and an ownership-oriented mindset.
