Associate Cybersecurity Due Diligence Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee, assess, and provide recommendations concerning the security, resilience, and integrity of global systems.

• Ensure that systems and data are adequately protected.

• Work collaboratively with compliance, security, and technology experts on initiatives related to global data protection regulations.

• Aid in the creation and implementation of security training and awareness programs.

• Contribute to process improvements, risk mitigation, fulfillment of business obligations, and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Assist in the management of incoming audits and evaluations.

• Lead discussions with relevant owners and business stakeholders.

• Monitor remediation activities to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

• Engage in the formulation of policies, standards, controls, procedures, and security evaluations.

• Support routine functions and tasks for one or more functional areas, departments, or divisions.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), along with relevant industry experience or a degree in progress is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in IT security, auditing, controls, regulatory compliance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, SharePoint) is essential.

• General understanding of business and technology operations.

• Growing knowledge of global standards and regulations concerning security, technology, and resilience.

• Eagerness to learn and remain updated on data security threats and vulnerabilities.

• Basic organizational, planning, and task management abilities with strong attention to detail.

• Capacity to adapt to shifting priorities and operate under tight deadlines.

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to set objectives, communicate expected results, and collaborate across various functions and levels.

• Bachelor's degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Experience or certifications in the Insurance/Reinsurance industry are preferred.

• Prior experience reviewing SOC1 and SOC2 attestations is preferred.

• Project management skills or experience is preferred.

• Certifications in information security, compliance, risk, or audit, such as SSCP, CISA, Certified in Cybersecurity, and Security+, are preferred.

• Basic understanding of domestic and international security and technology regulations is preferred.

• Familiarity with IT control frameworks including NIST CSF/P, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001/27002, and CIS is preferred.

• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies is preferred.
