This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as Medtronic's representative during surgical procedures by ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and products.

• Offer technical assistance, including device selection, programming, and testing of device systems.

• Guide patients throughout all stages of the clinical process and inform them about Medtronic products.

• Provide clinical support during surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.

• Address technical inquiries from customers, patients, and colleagues.

• Keep up-to-date knowledge of competing products.

• Train and educate physicians, hospital staff, and office personnel on products and therapies.

• Assist Management and Sales Training in the education and onboarding of new district employees.

• Complete event reporting and documentation utilizing Medtronic technology tools.

• Process customer service orders for outstanding purchase orders and product replacements.

• Collaborate with materials management to gather purchase orders for covered cases.

• Oversee case-coverage inventory, including transactions, cycle counts, product retrievals, turnover, and compliance with expiry/hold regulations.

• Contribute to the achievement of quarterly district, regional, and national initiative goals.

• Collaborate with sales representatives to meet territory and district business objectives.

• Visit accounts to restock literature and nurture relationships with office staff.

• Regularly use Excel, mobile phones, iPads, laptops, and Samsung tablets.

• Manage business expenses and budgets within set timeframes.

• Complete new-hire therapy training as mandated by medical education.

• Travel to district cases and occasionally to neighboring districts.

• Participate in clinical events outside of regular hours, including weekends and after-hours as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or an Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or a Bachelor’s degree.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

• Registered nurse or healthcare professional with experience in a sterile environment is preferred.

• Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care is preferred.

• Experience providing service to medical personnel on product usage is preferred.

• Background in a medical device or pharmaceutical company is preferred.

• Clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, operating room, pain management, or home healthcare is preferred.

• Understanding of basic reimbursement processes and the healthcare environment is preferred.

• Ability to apply healthcare universal precautions in environments with infectious diseases and radiation.

• Capability to act as the primary resource for both scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including periodic weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel.

• Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision outside of clinical events.

• Willingness to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions.

• Capability to wear a 7–9 lb protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for more than 8 hours a day.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and balance.

• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

• A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy are required; driving records will be reviewed.

• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is mandatory at the time of hire and throughout employment.

• For degrees obtained outside the U.S., the degree must meet the requirements outlined in 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
