Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Complete comprehensive virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training related to insurance policies, claims procedures, systems, and protocols.

• Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims while working under close supervision.

• Collect information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.

• Investigate and assess pertinent facts and documentation, including leases, contracts, and bylaws.

• Determine and apply coverage for building damages in accordance with policy terms.

• Accurately define the scopes of building and contents losses.

• Prepare written estimates and/or utilize computer-assisted estimating tools.

• Communicate in a professional and timely manner with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.

• Maintain precise records of claim activities within claim management systems.

• Adapt to advancements in AI, digital transformation, technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts.

• Access and inspect residential and commercial structures, including roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.

• Participate in catastrophe deployments to support customers in various states.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of customer service experience.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred as an ideal qualification for candidates.

• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or the insurance industry.

• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license as mandated by state law.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Eagerness to learn claims management and estimating software.

• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within set authority limits.

• Exceptional customer service aptitude.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Basic conflict resolution abilities.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.

• Valid driver's license.

• Physical ability to carry, set up, and climb a 38- to 49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter confined spaces.

• Ability to obtain necessary insurance licenses typically within three months of employment.

• Commitment to maintaining required continuing education.

• Willingness to participate in the Catastrophe Response Program and deploy to other states as needed.

• UAS Remote Pilot Certification may be required.
