This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee a varied caseload of workers’ compensation cases from initiation to resolution.
• Offer strategic legal advice and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Examine files and evaluate claims and legal causes.
• Perform thorough legal research and compose briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate documents.
• Advocate for clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and reply to discovery requests.
• Engage and work with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and participate in trials.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic and practical legal counsel.
• Manage deadlines and responsibilities with accountability and autonomy.
• Achieve the required annual billable target of 1,950 hours.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Valid license to practice law in the state where the position is posted, mandatory.
• Additional bar admissions are advantageous.
• At least 2 years of experience within the practice area.
• Superior legal research, writing, and oral advocacy capabilities.
• Familiarity with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor complemented by strong client relations and communication skills.
• Proactive and well-organized, with the capacity to prioritize various tasks effectively.
• Dedication to achieving the required annual billable target of 1,950 hours.
