This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Manage files and formulate case strategies.
• Oversee discovery processes and conduct depositions.
• Collaborate with experts while effectively communicating with clients and insurance carriers.
• Handle motion practices and prepare cases for trial.
• Independently oversee court appearances, depositions, motion practices, and trials.
• Create persuasive case strategies and drive successful outcomes.
• Manage a complete caseload from discovery through to trial independently.
• Work alongside attorneys and staff of varying experience levels.
• Ensure consistent and professional communication with clients.
• Foster and develop relationships with current and potential clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and offer them guidance.
• Engage in civil defense matters in state and federal courts, covering general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, construction defects, product liability, and auto/commercial transportation.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in insurance defense.
• An active Pennsylvania Bar license is mandatory.
• Dual admission in Pennsylvania and New Jersey is highly preferred.
• Previous billing experience is required.
• Capability to independently manage and advance files.
• Strong skills in writing, analysis, and communication.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school is essential.
• Active bar license in Pennsylvania is required.
• Between 1 to 8 years of solid litigation experience, covering case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Must have the ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery to trial.
• Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is necessary.
• Self-driven with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
• Professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
• Must demonstrate responsiveness, curiosity, and a dedication to producing high-quality work.
• Annual billable hours bonus of $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for each subsequent tier.
