This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Contribute to the expansion of Isaacson, Miller, a nationally recognized retained executive search firm that focuses on leadership recruitment within the civic sector.
• Assist Partners in fostering client relationships, generating business, and ensuring the successful and high-quality execution of executive searches.
• Manage multiple search projects concurrently and engage in all phases of the search process.
• Collaborate with Partners to devise and implement research and networking strategies.
• Recruit and evaluate candidates.
• Perform candidate reference checks and manage due diligence processes.
• Supervise search timelines.
• Prepare for and participate in presentations to clients.
• Define positions with clients through initial site visits with Partners and collect information regarding roles, organizational challenges, and aspirations.
• Write, edit, and proofread drafts of initial position descriptions.
• Create diverse candidate pools through research and communication via phone and email using IM’s proprietary database.
• Assess candidate qualifications, credibility, and organizational compatibility through evidence-based evaluations and detailed phone interviews.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, candidates, sources, and other contacts.
• Present candidate pools to clients in both in-person and virtual meetings.
• Draft memos and supplementary documents, ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of all presented materials.
• Update the firm's database with information on candidates, sources, and clients.
• Brief Partners on search progress, market feedback, and individual candidate situations.
• Manage the flow of candidate information to clients in collaboration with Search Coordinators.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two to six years of progressively responsible professional experience.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Maturity and discretion in handling relationships that involve confidential issues.
• Ability to establish rapport with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Skill in extracting and effectively articulating the ambitions and challenges of client organizations.
• Proficiency in evaluating prospective candidates’ achievements, credibility, and organizational fit through evidence-based assessments.
• Initiative to work independently while recognizing when to seek guidance.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and consistently meet deadlines.
• Conscientiousness in delivering high-quality work and attention to detail.
