Associate Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Conduct routine engineering tasks utilizing established techniques, procedures, and standards.

• Execute responsibilities assigned by the Engineering Manager or Senior Application Engineer.

• Carry out structural engineering calculations pertinent to application products.

• Prepare Bills of Material.

• Engage in application engineering activities.

• Visit job sites as necessary.

• Support Account Managers in their sales initiatives.

• Address clearly defined engineering issues and discrepancies in routine research or data.

• Perform regular process evaluations and discuss results with colleagues or supervisors.

• Offer general guidance or training to junior-level support staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a BS/BA in a related field.

• Certification may be necessary in certain areas.

• Typically 0–2 years of experience in a relevant field, or an MS/MA with generally 0–1 year of experience in a related domain.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

• Experience in reading blueprints is required.

• Familiarity with structural analysis software for basic beam and column elements is advantageous.

• Preferred experience in structural engineering related to steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast, or tilt construction.

• Must adhere to established procedures and protocols.

• Capability to perform structural engineering calculations.

• Ability to analyze data and resolve issues related to missing or incomplete information and discrepancies/anomalies.

• Must exercise judgment under general supervision.
