Senior Analyst, Actuarial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Design, improve, and sustain tools and applications that support Actuarial and Underwriting pricing, forecasting, and business analysis functions.

• Utilize SQL for data transformation, analysis, and validation to aid in application development and business processes.

• Create new features, apply enhancements, and troubleshoot issues in existing tools and applications.

• Act as a subject matter expert for various actuarial and business applications.

• Document code, procedures, and technical solutions to ensure maintainability and long-term support.

• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, business, and technical teams to gather requirements and provide solutions.

• Handle multiple priorities while working autonomously.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of relevant experience.

• Strong technical abilities in developing, enhancing, and maintaining business applications, tools, or automation solutions.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Proficient in VBA and SQL.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to document technical processes, workflows, and code for long-term sustainability.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Knowledge of actuarial concepts, methodologies, and workflows.

• Preferred: Completion of one or more actuarial exams.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting actuarial pricing, forecasting, underwriting, or insurance-related functions.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Selenium.

• Preferred: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
