Assistant VDC Manager – Coordination

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the integration of VDC tools to improve design, planning, and construction workflows.

• Aid in the management of project timelines, budgets, and resources.

• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure progress is in line with project goals.

• Oversee project setup and onboarding processes.

• Maintain precise, accessible, and current digital models and VDC data.

• Prepare and uphold VDC-related documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, schedules, and change orders.

• Ensure that VDC processes and deliverables adhere to quality standards and project specifications.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and various stakeholders to facilitate timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in VDC/BIM Coordination with a focus on leading multi-disciplinary coordination meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• Required experience in commercial construction BIM coordination.

• Strong preference for candidates with Data Center coordination experience.

• Proficiency in VDC Coordination Management and BIM workflows.

• Experience in Electrical, Mechanical/Plumbing, Civil Underground, and Concrete BIM & VDC.

• Familiarity with BIM software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is advantageous.

• Prior experience with a general contractor or subcontractor (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.) is preferred.

• Proficient in Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft/Google Suites.

• Strong project management capabilities and proficiency in facilitating coordination meetings.

• Knowledge of advanced modeling techniques and prefabrication strategies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; confident in public speaking and leading meetings with 40+ attendees.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
