Assistant Project Manager – Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in construction management initiatives within a PMO framework

• Oversee project timelines, task durations, completion status, sequencing, lookaheads, delays, risks, and opportunities

• Aid in construction administration tasks, such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders

• Support the procurement and ordering of electrical, lighting, and HVAC equipment

• Evaluate construction plans for thoroughness and adherence to best practices

• Conduct quality assurance evaluations of shop drawings and submissions

• Perform site visits to assess construction progress and ensure compliance with as-built conditions, contract drawings, and specifications

• Engage in store setup and build-out, overseeing temporary laborers with tasks including unloading, unboxing, installing fixtures, and stocking supplies

• Maintain communication with vendors as directed by the Project Manager

• Compile daily and weekly project status reports for the Project Manager's review

• Participate in meetings with consultants and vendors, documenting minutes and following up on action items

• Manage project turnover documentation, recordkeeping, retention, and closeout procedures

• Uphold the LaserAway Brand Standards in both virtual and in-person engagements

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or at least 2 years of pertinent experience

• Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities

• Proficient in Google Suite Applications, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat, and the Microsoft Office Suite

• Fundamental understanding of permitting processes and construction best practices

• Knowledge of commercial tenant improvement construction techniques and general building codes

• Capability to perform and supervise general labor tasks, including loading and unloading boxes and equipment, and mounting various fixtures

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment

• Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach to problem-solving

• Competence to carry out assigned tasks and responsibilities independently

• Capacity to climb ladders for roof access and lift boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs

• Willingness to travel up to 20%
