Assistant Professor – Clinical Mental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct and enhance online courses in clinical mental health, focusing on counseling theories, assessment and testing, diagnosis, and treatment.

• Deliver clinical courses and engage in Final Presentations.

• Uphold expertise in pedagogy and subject matter.

• Foster an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere for a diverse range of learners.

• Ensure alignment of course and program practices with compliance and accreditation standards.

• Maintain an active scholarship agenda and participate in scholarly pursuits.

• Engage in professional development and counseling organizations.

• Assist with accreditation reviews and enhance CMHC program processes.

• Offer academic guidance and mentorship to CMHC students regarding training, placements, requirements, practicum, and career objectives.

• Take part in student remediation processes.

• Review program materials for compliance with CACREP and state standards.

• Aid in data collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of reports.

• Act as faculty advisor and primary contact for student programming.

• Participate in administrative meetings and project teams.

• Report to the Department Chair and collaborate with CMHC leadership.

• Complete additional assigned tasks and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited institution/program is required.

• Must be licensed or license eligible as a professional counselor (LPC).

• A strong identification with the professional counselor identity and evidence thereof is required.

• Preferred: 2+ years of faculty experience in a CACREP accredited CMHC program and/or clinical training administration experience in a CACREP accredited CMHC program.

• Preferred: Experience with CACREP accreditation and compliance.

• Preferred: Experience teaching online courses in an asynchronous format.

• Preferred: Experience in a technology-driven enterprise.

• Preferred: Curriculum development experience.

• Background check is required.

• Ability to teach across various courses.
