This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver online courses and residency programs.
• Guide doctoral students and either chair or participate on doctoral committees.
• Facilitate engaging dissertation and doctoral capstone course environments.
• Analyze course evaluations and leverage data to enhance teaching and the learner experience.
• Contribute to the creation of curriculum and course materials, including plans, objectives, outcomes, teaching aids, competency-based assessments, and authentic evaluation tools.
• Promote diversity, sensitivity, and inclusiveness within curriculum and instructional materials.
• Engage in governance activities at both the school and university levels, as well as participate in faculty committees.
• Offer peer mentorship, constructive feedback, and support to faculty members.
• Share professional expertise and skills with learners, the institution, the profession, and local communities.
• Maintain scholarly competency through writing, presentations, attending conferences, conducting research, and publishing findings.
• Partake in faculty development activities, meetings, commencement events, residencies, webinars, orientations, course updates, and resolving issues.
• Assist with learner management, research and advising, program development, field education, accreditation, and B2B partnership initiatives as assigned.
• Assume additional leadership roles and take on challenging projects as needed by the school or university.
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience in higher education, specifically in an online environment, is required.
• Required experience in teaching biology or life sciences.
• Required experience in higher education teaching.
• Required experience in curriculum development.
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting learner success and achieving quality teaching outcomes is required.
• Ability to enhance the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community through teaching and/or service is required.
• Required experience in scholarly writing and familiarity with APA 6th edition.
• A Doctorate in a related field is required.
• A Doctorate or Master’s degree in biology (Life Sciences) or a related field, such as microbiology or human anatomy, is required.
• An additional Doctorate or Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Experience mentoring doctoral candidates is preferred.
• Membership in an educational leadership organization is preferred.
• Commitment to service and practice in educational leadership is preferred.
• Experience in leadership through team engagement is preferred.
• Experience presenting at professional conferences is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally if business needs arise.
• Faculty roles require a remote work environment equipped with a computer, privacy, reliable internet, phone, and video-conferencing capabilities.
• Must fulfill critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication prerequisites.
• Must be prepared to work over 40 hours per week when business needs necessitate.
