Assistant Manager – Shift Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Assume overall accountability for the shift across all production facilities.

• Collaborate closely with each production facility to ensure operations run smoothly in accordance with established plans while meeting quality, compliance, and customer expectations.

• Oversee production operations in all facilities.

• Lead shift teams to achieve production goals for the shift.

• Manage personnel and address priority requirements to fulfill customer delivery commitments.

• Liaise with relevant divisional leaders regarding priorities and key focus areas.

• Coordinate with maintenance and quality departments to ensure seamless production operations.

• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during production activities.

• Allocate resources across production facilities to meet desired outputs and delivery commitments.

• Ensure that targeted outputs are consistently met in line with established plans.

• Ensure adherence to quality systems, compliance standards, and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Implement corrective and preventive measures as needed.

• Identify challenges and propose enhancements to minimize rejects and waste.

• Engage, inspire, and guide shop floor teams to enhance performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Production/Manufacturing Engineering/NDT or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or operations.

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.

• Proven track record in people management to drive performance outcomes.

• Strong knowledge and experience with quality and productivity improvement tools and techniques.
