This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Manage the processing of Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Amendments, Cancellations, Closures, Claims, and various other Trade Finance activities.
• Authorize transactions within the processing system.
• Execute transactions in line with SOPs/OPMs, UCP, ISBP, and ISP guidelines.
• Conduct sanction checks on relevant parties in the documentation.
• Oversee the handling of Commodity Trade Operations documentation.
• Enter and authorize transactions, as well as prepare and authorize pertinent SWIFT messages.
• Ensure accurate recovery of charges and prevent revenue loss.
• Maintain reconciliation of Nostro accounts and internal accounts.
• Manage customer expectations while working on automation projects.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate to address issues.
• Work closely with the onshore unit to ensure smooth client service delivery.
• Effectively and promptly address audit observations.
• Ensure efficient processing, adherence to service standards, and provision of quality service.
• Act as a maker/authorizer for Import Letter of Guarantee issuances, amendments, cancellations, and similar stages for Standby Letters of Credit/Claims.
• Adhere to relevant manuals and procedures throughout transaction processing.
• Propose actions related to changes in laws, ICC rules, government regulations, and banking policies.
• Provide advice to commercial customers regarding Import, Export, and Guarantee Trade Finance transactions.
• Counsel the Product Development Team on Trade Finance activities in accordance with international practices, ICC publications, OPM, APPM, and local regulations.
• Ensure compliance of procedures with bank policies and guidelines.
• Review customer complaints and take immediate corrective action.
• Achieve Management by Objectives (MBOs) in a timely manner.
• Verify shipping documents prepared under Letters of Credit.
• Promptly process and validate FTC product transactions.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Graduate with a comprehensive understanding of Trade Finance products and functions.
• Preferably hold CDCS certification.
• In-depth knowledge of Swift, Trade Finance, and Financial Operating Systems.
• General understanding of banking principles.
• A minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in General Banking and Trade Finance.
• Expert-level understanding of Letters of Guarantee and Letters of Credit.
• Expert knowledge of accounting entries and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Understanding of amortization principles.
