Assistant Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist the General Manager in the daily operations of the pub.

• Take charge of shifts and guide the team when the General Manager is not present.

• Motivate, coach, and nurture the team.

• Maintain high standards in service, food, beverages, and customer experience.

• Foster strong customer relationships and cultivate a welcoming environment.

• Help drive sales and recognize opportunities for business growth.

• Optimize the riverside garden, food offerings, and seasonal trading periods.

• Prepare the pub for peak service times and various customer events.

• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service.

• Assist with schedules, stock management, cash handling, and other operational tasks.

• Promote health and safety, licensing, and brand standards.

• Cultivate a positive, supportive, and motivating team culture.

• Introduce innovative ideas to enhance the pub and expand the customer base.

• Lead by example and provide dependable support to the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, or in a similar role.

• Experience in a fast-paced pub, restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting.

• Confidence in leading a team and taking responsibility for a shift.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.

• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

• Commercial insight and understanding of how hospitality can boost sales and encourage repeat business.

• Ability to remain calm, organized, and proactive during busy times.

• Dedication to upholding high standards throughout the pub.

• Energetic, proactive, and ready to engage hands-on.

• Genuine enthusiasm for food, beverages, and the hospitality industry.
