Assistant Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist the General Manager with the daily operations of the pub

• Take charge of shifts and guide the team during the General Manager’s absence

• Lead, mentor, and nurture the team

• Consistently deliver high standards in service, food, beverages, and customer experience

• Foster strong customer relationships and establish a welcoming environment

• Drive sales and identify growth opportunities for the business

• Optimize the riverside garden, food offerings, and seasonal trading periods

• Prepare the pub for busy service times and various customer events

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure effective communication and seamless service

• Assist with rotas, stock management, cash handling, and other operational tasks

• Advocate for health and safety, licensing, and brand standards

• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and motivated team culture

• Introduce innovative ideas to enhance the pub and its customer base

• Set a strong example and be a reliable support for the team

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, or in a similar role

• Background in a busy pub, restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting

• Confidence in leading a team and taking responsibility for a shift

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

• A genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service

• Commercial insight and understanding of how hospitality can enhance sales and foster repeat business

• Capacity to remain calm, organized, and proactive during peak periods

• Dedication to upholding high standards throughout the pub

• Energetic and proactive attitude with a willingness to engage actively

• True passion for food, beverages, and the hospitality industry

• Enjoys cultivating relationships with customers and becoming integrated into the local community
