This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Cultivate and inspire a team environment, aiding direct reports in enhancing performance and fostering professional development.
• Seek out new sales opportunities while also nurturing existing client relationships.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, quoting, as well as profit and loss statements.
• Direct and oversee the daily functions of CHB colleagues.
• Supervise workflow and ensure the completion of customer correspondence, claims, post-entry tasks, logs, collections, and issue resolution.
• Manage office staff, review their progress, address inquiries, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Adjust personnel assignments to meet deadlines, while overseeing and guiding colleagues across all shifts.
• Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to procedures and documentation flow.
• Communicate information and feedback promptly to managers or designated team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, company policies, and procedural changes, and relay updates to the team to ensure compliance.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with CBP and other government entities concerning entry resolutions.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensed Customs Broker.
• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in customs brokerage.
• Proficient in import operations, transportation, logistics, and customs brokerage.
• Capability to support clients and motivate colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills, encompassing accuracy, thoroughness, information gathering, analysis, multitasking, and prioritization.
• Customer-focused skills, including handling challenging customer situations, prompt response to customer needs, soliciting feedback, and effective communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, confidentiality, active listening, emotional control, openness to ideas, accountability, and teamwork.
• Demonstrated motivation, persistence, goal-setting abilities, and calculated risk-taking.
• Proficient problem-solving skills and the ability to devise alternative solutions.

• Work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
