This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist instructional faculty by engaging with students in online classrooms that accommodate numerous participants.
• Evaluate student interactions within discussions and assessments, responding appropriately based on training and input from the lead instructor.
• Aid in managing student communications effectively.
• Refer unique issues to the lead instructor for further assistance.
• Help with grading assignments and providing constructive feedback.
• Monitor student engagement levels and suggest strategies to enhance participation.
• Offer tutoring, live sessions, and other forms of student support as directed.
• Assist with outreach efforts to students.
• Contribute to the development of supplemental support materials, videos, and job aids.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Report to key Faculty roles within the designated team.
• Part-time Assistant Faculty supporting online undergraduate courses: CIS333, SEC340, SEC420, and SEC435.
• Must commit to a fixed weekly schedule of 20 hours/week.
• Availability is required on weekday evenings between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET, in addition to weekend hours.
• Applications must include unofficial transcript copies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to interact effectively with faculty, coaches, and students.
• Strong time management capabilities.
• Proficient in relationship-building, customer service, and problem resolution.
• High attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through is essential.
• Experience with a diverse range of learning styles is preferred.
• Comfort with technology for facilitating learning is required.
• Professional experience in the relevant field is preferred and may be necessary based on course credentialing requirements.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in online teaching is an advantage.
• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field is required.
• Security+, CEH, or CHFI certification is mandatory.
• Candidates lacking the required certifications must agree to a professional development plan to obtain them within a year of employment.
• Must be available during evenings and weekends, especially from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET, in addition to weekend office hours.
• Ability to access information using a computer is necessary.
• Capable of effectively communicating with all levels of management.
• Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
• Good attendance record is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
• High level of mental acuity is important.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
