Assistant Faculty, Computer Information Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist instructional faculty in online classrooms with a large number of students.

• Engage with students to facilitate their success.

• Develop and implement communication strategies and supplemental instructional techniques.

• Evaluate student participation in discussions and assessments, responding based on training and input from the lead instructor.

• Help manage communications with students.

• Forward unique issues to the lead instructor for resolution.

• Aid in grading and providing constructive feedback.

• Monitor student participation and suggest strategies to enhance engagement.

• Offer tutoring, live sessions, and additional student support as requested.

• Assist with student outreach initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of supplementary support materials, videos, and job aids.

• Perform other assigned responsibilities.

• Report to key Faculty roles within the assigned team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Part-time schedule of 25 hours per week.

• Availability required Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET.

• Prior teaching experience is mandatory.

• Required previous experience in teaching Python and AI software development languages.

• Professional experience in the relevant field is preferred and may be required based on course credentialing standards.

• Online teaching experience is preferred.

• A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.

• A terminal degree may be necessary depending on course credentialing standards.

• Professional certification in the specialty discipline may be required based on course credentialing standards.

• Competency in accessing information via computer.

• Ability to communicate effectively through all levels of management.

• Capability to handle stressful situations efficiently.

• Good attendance record is essential.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• High mental acuity is required.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.
