This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
β’ Oversee the assigned nursing faculty, which includes managing orientation, onboarding, mentoring, workload, and ongoing support.
β’ Engage in faculty recruitment and provide feedback on faculty assignments and course scheduling.
β’ Conduct performance evaluations each semester and annually, and create tailored professional development plans.
β’ Organize and take part in faculty development initiatives.
β’ Assist instructors in achieving course and program objectives while upholding teaching excellence.
β’ Take ownership of the preceptor model for all undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
β’ Assign and approve preceptors in accordance with course objectives, student levels, and program outcomes.
β’ Verify and maintain necessary preceptor credentials and documentation prior to placements commencing.
β’ Provide orientation, mentoring, and continuous support for preceptors.
β’ Monitor preceptor performance and address any student or program-related concerns.
β’ Collaborate with Clinical Placement to ensure all required preceptor documentation is completed before student placements.
β’ Assess preceptor capacity against expected enrollment and identify any potential gaps.
β’ Track and confirm clinical hours supervised by preceptors that are necessary for student progression and graduation.
β’ Contribute to curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation processes.
β’ Review course examinations both before and after their administration.
β’ Promote evidence-based teaching methodologies and ongoing improvement efforts.
β’ Contribute to the systematic evaluation plan, which includes preceptor, clinical site, and clinical outcome data.
β’ Support compliance with accreditation and regulatory obligations.
β’ Assist in ensuring that programs adhere to accreditation standards and the requirements set by the state board of nursing.
β’ Maintain documentation that meets regulatory and accreditation criteria.
β’ Represent Joyce University in dealings with regulatory and accreditation bodies.
β’ Address student inquiries and resolve challenges related to the learning experience.
β’ Participate in committees, commencement ceremonies, pinning events, and other University activities.
β’ Teach courses as assigned.
β’ Current and unencumbered professional nursing license in the relevant specialty.
β’ Doctoral or professional degree in the nursing specialty.
β’ 2β3 years of experience in online and on-ground teaching, curriculum design, and faculty development.
β’ Strong understanding of nursing education and academic leadership principles.
β’ Proven ability to mentor, support, and develop faculty members.
β’ Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Capability to foster collaborative relationships with faculty, students, administrators, and external partners.
β’ Preferred: Doctorate in Nursing (DNP or PhD).
β’ Preferred: Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).
β’ Preferred: Experience in clinical placement or preceptor management.
