This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Provide support for clinical data analysis and case preparation under supervision.
• Implement guided workflows for phenotype-genotype correlation and evaluate clinical features utilizing standardized resources.
• Aid in variant classification by collecting evidence and conducting preliminary literature reviews.
• Prepare necessary documentation and maintain updates in internal databases.
• Assist with editing reports and managing routine administrative responsibilities.
• Take part in team discussions and training sessions.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development activities.
• Extract clinical information from patient records when necessary.
• Achieve performance, productivity, and accuracy benchmarks.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned to support the team or department.
• A Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program; alternatively, a Master’s or PhD in Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related field with relevant clinical experience, or an MD/DO with proven expertise in human genetics.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively across various functions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• High proficiency in internal systems as well as Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Professional-level skills in mathematical reasoning, computer literacy, and language-based communication.
• For Genetic Counselors: Must be board-eligible or hold active certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
• Licensure is required in the state of employment, if applicable.
• Reliable high-speed internet access and the ability to work from a home office or a suitable remote location.
• Capacity to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand and finger movements for typing and mouse use, read computer screens and documents, communicate via phone and video calls, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
