Assistant Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide procurement assistance for designated suppliers

• Manage inventory reports and refresh corporate item statuses

• Handle transfers, modifications to prior orders, and special requests

• Conduct inventory management tasks under the guidance of the Buyer

• Keep track of open purchase orders by obtaining tracking details and updating item notes

• Assist in achieving buyer service-level goals

• Propose and recommend enhancements to the replenishment process

• Address issues independently

• Guide and instruct other team members

• Aid in product returns to support buyers’ objectives for overstock inventory

• Suggest process improvements and mentor colleagues to enhance consistency and effectiveness in replenishment operations

• Perform other related duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive training in business administration, accounting, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or related fields, typically acquired through the completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent experience and education

• Strong interpersonal capabilities

• Proficient analytical skills

• Leadership qualities with the capability to train others effectively

• Exceptional organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and accuracy

• Proficient oral and written communication skills

• Strong typing and 10-key proficiency
