This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.
• Oversee and evaluate transactional, operational, and inventory data to uncover incidents of theft, fraud, or suspicious behavior.
• Employ surveillance systems, exception-based reporting tools, and investigative resources to identify both internal and external theft.
• Partner with store management, Asset Protection teams, and various departments to pinpoint vulnerabilities and suggest preventive strategies.
• Execute investigations into theft, fraud, policy breaches, and other asset protection issues.
• Record findings, collect evidence, and uphold precise investigative documentation.
• Ensure that investigations adhere to company policies, legal stipulations, and confidentiality standards.
• Assemble comprehensive case packets containing evidence, witness statements, reports, and supporting materials.
• Present findings to management, legal teams, or law enforcement as necessary.
• Keep organized records of investigations for reference and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle asset protection issues and implement corrective measures.
• Aid in the formulation and execution of asset protection policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Compliance, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Over 5 years of experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or investigative roles.
• Strong understanding of theft and fraud detection methods, investigative procedures, and evidence gathering.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems, exception reporting tools, and other investigative technologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing detailed reports and case documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive information discreetly.
• Knowledge of legal standards and procedures pertaining to investigations, evidence handling, and interviews.
• Experience collaborating with retail or corporate asset protection teams.
• Loss Prevention certification (e.g., LPQ, LPC) or similar credentials preferred.
• Willingness to travel to various locations as needed for investigations.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and conduct surveillance for extended durations.
