This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Perform root cause analysis for shrinkage to enhance organizational profitability.
• Aid in managing inventory control, including pre-inventory preparations and post-inventory analysis and action plans.
• Examine merchandise movement transactions and invoicing to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Recover potential losses and pinpoint root causes to avert future incidents.
• Evaluate theft and loss trends through data-driven insights to address areas at high risk.
• Collaborate with store leadership to educate employees on operational shrink prevention, theft deterrence, fraud prevention, and security best practices.
• Oversee POS transactions and perform audits to uncover fraud, policy violations, or operational mistakes.
• Work with the Director of Asset Protection to develop training programs and ensure employee compliance.
• Supervise and maintain physical security measures and systems, including CCTV, burglar and fire alarms, and emergency systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Asset Protection program and spearhead new initiatives, training, and awareness campaigns.
• Establish relationships with law enforcement and Asset Protection professionals.
• Represent Nouria in legal proceedings.
• Assist in crisis management issues and lead specific incidents as necessary.
• Conduct investigations into internal and external theft, fraud, and policy violations.
• Collect evidence, conduct interviews, and document findings for HR, legal, and law enforcement purposes.
• Formulate action plans to mitigate future risks based on the outcomes of investigations.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-unit retail asset protection or store operations is preferred.
• Experience with PDI is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• LPQ or LPC certification is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel over 75% of the time within a designated geographical area.
• Trained in Wicklander-Zulawski interviewing techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), case management, CCTV systems, alarm systems, exception-based reporting, and Enterprise Resource Planning tools.
• Familiarity with retail loss prevention strategies, theft deterrence, fraud detection, and safety regulations.
• Capability to sit for extended periods (66% or more each day), hear phone calls, input data on a computer, and engage with cross-functional teams.
