Asset Protection Business Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Perform root cause analysis of shrinkage to enhance organizational profitability.

• Aid in inventory control management, including pre-inventory setup and post-inventory analysis and action planning.

• Examine merchandise movement transactions and invoicing to guarantee inventory accuracy.

• Recover potential losses and identify underlying causes to avert future incidents.

• Analyze theft and loss patterns using data-driven insights to target high-risk areas.

• Collaborate with store leadership to educate employees on operational shrink prevention, theft deterrence, fraud prevention, and security best practices.

• Oversee POS transactions and perform audits to identify fraud, policy breaches, or operational mistakes.

• Work alongside the Director of Asset Protection to develop and enhance training programs and store policies and procedures.

• Supervise and maintain physical security measures and systems, including CCTV, burglar and fire alarms, and emergency systems.

• Contribute to the establishment of the Asset Protection program and spearhead new initiatives.

• Manage training and awareness initiatives for store teams.

• Foster relationships with law enforcement and Asset Protection professionals within the designated market.

• Represent Nouria in legal proceedings.

• Assist with crisis management situations and lead specific incidents as necessary.

• Conduct investigations into internal and external theft, fraud, and policy violations.

• Collect evidence, conduct interviews, and document findings for HR, legal, and law enforcement purposes.

• Formulate action plans to reduce future risks based on investigative results.

• Primarily work in an office environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in multi-unit retail asset protection or store operations is preferred.

• Experience with PDI is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Business Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• LPQ or LPC certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Willingness to travel 75% or more of the time within a designated geographical area.

• Trained in Wicklander-Zulawski interviewing techniques.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), Case Management, CCTV systems, Alarm systems, Exception Based Reporting, and Enterprise Resource Planning tools.

• Familiarity with retail loss prevention strategies, theft deterrence, fraud detection, and safety regulations.

• Capability to sit for extended periods (66% or more each day).

• Capacity to hear telephone communications.

• Ability to input data on a computer.

• Proficient in interacting with cross-functional teams.
