Asset Manager – Network Optimization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Drive integrated network performance across AFEMEA by enhancing asset safety, service quality, and cost efficiency.

• Achieve annual cost reductions while promoting revenue and profit growth within Technology Groups.

• Optimize products and technologies in alignment with annual operating plans and long-term strategic goals.

• Oversee opportunity pipelines and network capacity, providing long-term forecasts for market strategies, customer bids, deal strategies, and capital investment decisions.

• Assess plant and asset performance relative to peers and formulate recapitalization strategies.

• Deploy central resources to assist best-practice teams with process and asset optimization initiatives.

• Enhance AFEMEA’s most valuable assets and identify restructuring opportunities.

• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to optimize the RR asset network and convert non-RR assets to RR-ready assets.

• Determine product placement throughout AFEMEA’s manufacturing network.

• Create business plans for significant capital investments and asset management strategies.

• Define, standardize, and unify core specifications across BNA markets to simplify processes and reduce production costs.

• Analyze asset utilization and performance to pinpoint improvement opportunities.

• Work alongside cross-functional Operations teams to decrease production costs.

• Provide transparency in capacity and identify capability, capacity, and operational limitations.

• Develop strategic, multi-generation product plans throughout the network.

• Lead initiatives for operationalizing innovation platforms, including sustainable options.

• Conduct competitive benchmarking for capability, quality, service, and cost.

• Keep abreast of asset management industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Oversee investments through the CERG process.

• Manage network allocation to ensure products are assigned to the most suitable, cost-effective assets.

• Support global and regional projects related to asset-capability mapping, footprint options, and asset lifecycle planning.

• Coordinate with global teams to align definitions, standards, classifications, and modeling assumptions.

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and IT to implement safety, service, quality, and cost initiatives.

• Contribute to network master planning, MMR processes, and annual budget preparation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Understanding of Finance and product costing.

• At least 3 years of experience in program/project management; administrative experience is a plus.

• Proficient in computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Preferably possess strong knowledge of the packaging business or related fields, such as consumer goods or process industries.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in at least one other major European language is desirable.

• Strong capability and experience managing in a cross-cultural setting.

• Ability to navigate successfully in a matrix organization and interact across various organizational levels.

• Excellent analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

• Demonstrated leadership and time management abilities.

• Capacity to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel with VBA and PowerPoint, as well as Power BI.

• Familiarity with SFDC, Mills, and SAP is advantageous.
