This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and coach Assessment Development Specialists.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation activities.
• Set performance standards and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
• Delegate, prioritize, and oversee tasks to ensure timely provision of assessment development services.
• Assess team workload and capacity, optimizing resources to fulfill project and client demands.
• Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture.
• Encourage employee growth, knowledge sharing, and succession planning.
• Ensure consistent application of assessment development standards, processes, and best practices.
• Supervise blueprint creation, item development and review, item banking, form assembly, test maintenance, and other assessment development processes.
• Act as the primary assessment development point of contact for designated clients and programs.
• Guarantee that assessments meet specifications, psychometric standards, industry norms, and client expectations.
• Establish and oversee quality control measures to ensure consistency, accuracy, validity, and fairness of assessment content.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of assessment development processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with psychometrics, publishing, PMO, account management, and various stakeholders.
• Facilitate or support assessment development workshops, including item writing, item review, and form review sessions.
• Update leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, resource requirements, and assessment development progress.
• Assist with accreditation, compliance, and audit processes related to assessment programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, measurement, psychology, or a related field, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience in assessment development, certification/licensure, educational measurement, K-12 assessment, or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership, supervisory, or project management experience.
• Understanding of assessment development practices, psychometric principles, and industry guidelines.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
• Experience in leading remote or geographically dispersed teams (preferred).
• Background supporting various assessment markets or audiences, such as certification, licensure, K-12, higher education, or workforce credentialing (preferred).
• Familiarity with assessment technologies, item banking systems, test assembly tools, or test delivery platforms (preferred).
• Exposure to multiple assessment models, including fixed-form, adaptive, LOFT, performance-based, or other assessment techniques (preferred).
• Proven success in implementing process enhancements, quality initiatives, or operational efficiencies (preferred).
• Flexible remote work arrangement.
