Artificial Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design comprehensive agentic AI systems from start to finish.

• Establish enterprise guidelines for security, compliance, and minimal access privileges.

• Create the production strategy for LLMs and set evaluation criteria.

• Guide the development of retrieval pipelines, prompt synthesis, and self-correction mechanisms.

• Set standards for integrating agents with observability, incident management, and deployment systems.

• Outline protocols for automated diagnostics, runbook execution, and remediation traceability.

• Work with senior stakeholders to outline the agentic AI roadmap and related objectives focusing on reliability, risk mitigation, and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop the governance framework, which includes validator models, adversarial testing, policy checks, fallbacks, circuit breakers, and rollbacks.

• Define the technical pathway for optimizing costs and latency.

• Establish architectural standards and governance frameworks for agentic AI and LLM production.

• Represent the team in technical forums across departments and provide mentorship to senior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in designing, architecting, testing, and deploying enterprise-scale ML systems in production environments.

• Advanced proficiency in AWS services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Step Functions, and SageMaker.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Significant software development experience in languages such as Python, C/C++, Go, or Java.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Python in large-scale applications.

• Strong expert-level experience with LLMs, including API integration, prompt engineering, fine-tuning/adaptation, RAG, and tool-using agents.

• In-depth knowledge of both commercial and open-source LLMs, including OpenAI, Gemini, Llama, Qwen, and Claude.

• Expert understanding of applied statistics, foundational ML concepts, algorithms, and data structures.

• Proficient in English at an advanced level (C1/C2).
