This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Perform routine armed security patrols of designated buildings, facilities, and grounds using foot, vehicle, or electronic monitoring systems.
• Manage access to client facilities by verifying identities and authorizing entry.
• Examine doors, windows, gates, fences, and other entry points, reporting any deficiencies.
• Observe, document, and report incidents of property damage, unusual events, suspicious activities, safety hazards, and security issues.
• Enforce company and client regulations, address violations, and remove unauthorized individuals when necessary.
• Inform personnel of visitor arrivals and coordinate visitor access.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, medical situations, fires, and other critical events.
• Operate and maintain camp billeting, visitor management, and electronic access control systems.
• Monitor fire protection, security, lighting, heating, ventilation, and related building systems.
• Safely carry and maintain assigned firearms and security tools.
• Provide transportation services with passenger vehicles, buses, and off-road vehicles as needed.
• Deliver emergency medical response, including CPR, AED usage, basic first aid, and patient transport.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and sanitation matters.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other necessary documentation.
• Carry out additional duties that support departmental and operational goals.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is essential.
• At least three (3) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Relevant post-secondary education may be considered as a substitute for part of the required experience.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record for the past three (3) years is required.
• Ability to obtain an Alaska Guard License before employment commencement.
• Must acquire and maintain a State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hiring.
• Demonstrate safe handgun handling skills and successfully complete a law enforcement-style firearms qualification.
• Ability to meet credential and certification requirements, including TWIC and ATF Explosives Possessor authorization, as mandated by the contract.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and contract-specific software is necessary.
• Must successfully fulfill pre-employment requirements, including background check, drug screening, physical examination, fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing examination.
• Ability to live in dormitory-style accommodations and adhere to remote camp standards.
• Capability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions with minimal supervision during emergencies.
• Ability to work a rotational schedule of two (2) weeks on and two (2) weeks off.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to twelve (12) hours per shift and perform duties in remote Arctic weather conditions.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is mandatory.
• Compliance with company and client safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards is required.
• Must lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and meet the specified fit-for-duty physical tests.
• Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, and written communication skills are essential.
• Rotational schedule of two (2) weeks on and two (2) weeks off.
• Company-paid flights to remote locations for scheduled trips.
