
Area Vice President – Enterprise Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate sales strategies and solutions that enhance Abbott Medical Device’s value proposition to healthcare partners.
• Foster relationships with regional hospitals, IDN customers, medical groups, and healthcare intermediaries.
• Collaborate with business-unit sales leadership to implement access strategies and boost sales.
• Establish and nurture IDN/system-level relationships.
• Conduct business reviews and secure advantageous positions within key accounts.
• Develop and execute both short- and long-term business plans across Abbott Medical Device divisions.
• Work in conjunction with stakeholders across the matrixed organization to create comprehensive customer solutions.
• Target key regional and designated national accounts to identify business opportunities.
• Recognize emerging customers and spearhead innovative sales and account strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to devise solutions and services extending beyond contracting.
• Lead thorough business plans with customers and conduct internal reviews.
• Oversee financial and non-financial resources.
• Supervise Corporate Sales Executives responsible for sales in designated accounts.
• Cultivate high-performance teams and foster effective working relationships both externally and internally.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in the Cardiology or related Medical Device industries.
• At least 7+ years in sales leadership roles.
• Ability to think at an enterprise level and consider implications beyond immediate responsibilities.
• Proven skills in teamwork and collaboration.
• Demonstrated success in leading matrixed, cross-functional teams comprised of high-level managers and executives.
• In-depth expertise and knowledge of the competitive landscape, emerging trends, contracting, and negotiation strategies.
• Familiarity with vascular, cardiology, electro-physiology, or cardiac electro-physiology procedures.
• Capacity to manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
• Creative and innovative mindset with an understanding of legal, regulatory, and reimbursement environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly developed analytical capabilities, including the ability to conceptualize issues and synthesize data to provide strategic direction.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
