This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee the daily operations of several Air Methods bases throughout Northwest Arizona.
• Ensure bases are operational, adhere to safety protocols, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Foster a positive, engaged local-base culture that reflects the company's values and mission.
• Maintain communication with base personnel regarding operational duties, responsibilities, and performance standards.
• Propel KPIs to enhance profit contributions.
• Manage and oversee P&L, expenses, and payroll for the assigned bases.
• Schedule base personnel to ensure full coverage while optimizing in-service rates and minimizing overtime costs.
• Work in partnership with Centers of Excellence and Business Development to guarantee compliance with policies and procedures, as well as customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, oversee performance, and mentor team members; address employee relations issues and low performance, including making termination decisions when necessary.
• Mentor employees and exemplify effective leadership behaviors.
• Supervise supply-chain and logistics requirements, encompassing non-aviation, maintenance, and clinical activities and expenditures.
• Organize maintenance planning and spare part utilization to reduce base out-of-service incidents.
• Assist the Regional Director with customer scorecards and implement action plans accordingly.
• Maintain and track business, medical, and other essential licenses.
• Manage the initiation, relocation, and closure of bases.
• Oversee facility repairs, maintenance, and lease agreements.
• Directly supervise employees in the designated area, including recruitment, hiring, training, work assignment, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, complaint resolution, and problem-solving.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in clinical, aviation, or maintenance fields, with a robust leadership background and/or training, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Availability for operational needs on a 24/7 basis.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% or more based on business demands.
• Proven strong leadership skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels.
• High-level critical-thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking capability, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in managing revenue and budgets.
• Capable of preparing written reports.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must adhere to relevant company policies, employment practices, safety regulations, and discipline-specific DOT and Non-DOT random and reasonable-suspicion requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
