This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Report to the Regional Business Director.
• Supervise and guide a team of 9–12 representatives in the designated area.
• Oversee sales performance for the vaccines product portfolio.
• Evaluate key stakeholders and emerging trends in the business landscape.
• Create comprehensive sales business strategies for the local healthcare ecosystem.
• Conduct regular in-field and virtual coaching sessions and observations of field representatives.
• Maintain frequent engagement with customers and collaborate with accounts, retail, and marketing teams.
• Ensure adherence to compliance standards and promote a culture of integrity.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and manage representatives within the vaccines portfolio.
• Set team objectives, hold members accountable, and address underperformance.
• Foster a team culture centered on engagement, morale, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize live, virtual, and hybrid coaching methods to enhance representative capabilities.
• Develop and execute strategic area business plans aligned with national and regional objectives.
• Manage area-level budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Analyze data to spot market trends and foresee business changes.
• Monitor the use of promotional materials and field execution.
• Collaborate with Marketing during the Operational Planning process.
• Build strong relationships with customers, KOLs, IDNs, large group practices, retail outlets, grantees, FQHCs, DoD, and VA.
• Lead informed, science-based discussions across the vaccines portfolio.
• Identify opportunities for key account development.
• Connect HSPs with channel and HQ partners to meet complex customer needs.
• Coach representatives on digital tools, cross-functional collaboration, and Consultative Account-Based Portfolio Selling (CAPS).
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and Pfizer policy requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance and promptly escalate issues as necessary.
• Operate digital and virtual tools and platforms with expert proficiency.
• Implement data-driven resource management across a dual-portfolio area.
• Utilize sales data and reporting software to revise strategy and adapt to Pfizer’s technology model.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales.
• At least 3–5 years in a proven leadership role among peer and customer groups.
• Experience engaging key thought leaders or influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations is preferred.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify a candidate.
• An MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in people management is preferred.
• Vaccines experience and expertise are strongly preferred.
• Ability to build and enhance team expertise across a wider portfolio with a “Science First” approach.
• A mindset for cross-functional collaboration aligned to a “One Pfizer” commitment to the customer.
• Advanced virtual communication skills for customer engagement, team management, and remote collaboration.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities; adept at interpreting sales data, reporting applications, and adapting to changing technology platforms.
• Proven capability to think strategically and execute precisely to achieve results.
• A strong history of collaborative, motivational leadership and managing internal stakeholders.
• Enterprise thinking with the ability to anticipate downstream consequences.
• Excellent facilitation skills.
• Field travel is required; overnight travel is expected based on area geography and business needs.
• Ability to travel across all representative territories within the area.
• Attendance at area and national meetings is mandatory.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
