This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Report to the Regional Business Director
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams in Accounts and Pharmacy as well as Headquarters teams throughout the organization
• Oversee and guide 9–12 representatives within the designated area
• Responsible for the sales performance of the vaccines portfolio
• Evaluate key stakeholders and upcoming trends within the business landscape
• Create comprehensive sales business plans tailored to the local healthcare ecosystem
• Offer consistent in-field and virtual coaching while observing field representatives
• Frequently engage with customers and foster partnerships with accounts, retail, and marketing colleagues
• Ensure that team members execute tasks in compliance and promote a culture of integrity
• Recruit, coach, develop, and manage representatives across the vaccines portfolio
• Set team objectives, uphold performance standards, and address underperformance
• Cultivate a team culture centered on engagement, morale, and continuous improvement
• Utilize live, virtual, and hybrid coaching methods to enhance representative skills
• Provide development opportunities that support career growth and engagement
• Formulate and execute strategic area business plans that align with national and regional priorities
• Oversee area-level budget accountability and resource allocation
• Analyze data to pinpoint market trends, evaluate stakeholders, and predict business changes
• Supervise the use of promotional materials and field execution
• Partner with Marketing during the Operational Planning process
• Establish relationships with customers, KOLs, IDNs, large group practices, retail stores, Grantees, FQHCs, Department of Defense, and Veterans Affairs across vaccine therapeutic areas
• Lead credible, science-driven discussions with customers
• Identify opportunities for key account development
• Connect Healthcare Service Providers with channel and Headquarters partners to meet complex customer needs
• Guide representatives on digital tools, cross-functional customer engagement, and Consultative Account-Based Portfolio Selling
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and Pfizer policy requirements
• Maintain compliance knowledge and promptly escalate issues as needed
• Operate digital and virtual tools and platforms at an expert level
• Apply data-driven resource management across a dual-portfolio area
• Utilize sales data and reporting software to modify strategies and adapt to Pfizer’s technology model
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales
• Minimum of 3–5 years in a proven leadership position across peer and customer groups
• Preferred experience engaging key thought leaders or influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards
• Any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citations within the last 7 years are disqualifying
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, mentor others, and create significant business impact
• MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
• More than 5 years of people management experience preferred
• Strongly preferred experience and expertise in vaccines
• Ability to develop and enhance team expertise across a broader portfolio with a “Science First” approach
• Mindset for cross-functional collaboration aligned with a “One Pfizer” commitment to customers
• Advanced virtual communication skills for engaging customers, managing teams, and collaborating remotely
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to interpret sales data, reporting applications, and adapt to changing technology platforms
• Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and execute with precision to achieve results
• Strong record of collaborative, motivational leadership and managing internal stakeholders
• Enterprise thinking with the ability to anticipate downstream effects
• Excellent facilitation skills
• Field travel required; overnight travel expected based on area geography and business needs
• Capability to travel across all representative territories within the area
• Attendance at area and national meetings is mandatory
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required
