This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Report to the Regional Business Director
• Collaborate with customer-facing Accounts and Pharmacy colleagues as well as Headquarters teams
• Supervise and lead a team of 9–12 representatives within the designated area
• Responsible for the sales performance of the vaccines business portfolio
• Evaluate key stakeholders and emerging trends in the business marketplace
• Create detailed sales business plans tailored to the local healthcare ecosystem
• Conduct regular in-field and virtual coaching sessions and observations of field representatives
• Frequently engage with customers and forge partnerships with accounts, retail, and marketing teams
• Ensure compliant execution while promoting a culture of integrity
• Recruit, coach, develop, and manage team representatives
• Set team objectives, enforce performance standards, and address underperformance
• Cultivate a team culture focused on engagement, morale, and continuous improvement
• Develop and execute strategic business plans for the area
• Manage budgets and resource allocation at the area level
• Analyze market data and trends
• Monitor the utilization of promotional materials and field execution
• Collaborate with Marketing during the Operational Planning process
• Build relationships with KOLs, IDNs, large group practices, retail stores, grantees, FQHCs, DoD, and VA organizations
• Lead credible, science-based discussions across the vaccines portfolio
• Identify opportunities for key account development
• Connect Health System Partners (HSPs) with channel and Headquarters partners to meet customer needs
• Coach representatives on digital tools, cross-functional collaboration, and Consultative Account-Based Portfolio Selling (CAPS)
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and Pfizer policy requirements
• Stay informed about compliance policies and escalate issues promptly
• Utilize digital and virtual tools and platforms
• Implement data-driven resource management across a dual-portfolio area
• Leverage sales data and reporting software to refine strategy and adapt to Pfizer’s technology model
• Travel across representative territories, including field and overnight travel as necessary
• Attend area and national meetings
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales
• At least 3–5 years in a proven leadership role across peer and customer groups
• Experience in engaging key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations is preferred
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that complies with company standards
• Any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years is disqualifying
• 5+ years of people management experience is preferred
• Strong preference for candidates with vaccines experience and expertise
• Ability to cultivate and reinforce team expertise across a wider portfolio with a “Science First” approach
• Advanced virtual communication skills for customer engagement, team management, and remote collaboration
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Capability to analyze sales data and utilize reporting applications
• Proven ability to think strategically and execute effectively
• Strong history of collaborative, motivational leadership and internal stakeholder management
• Excellent facilitation skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required
