
Architectural Project Manager – Construction Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the firm's on-site representative throughout the construction process.
• Oversee bidding and activities during the construction phase.
• Attend and facilitate construction meetings effectively.
• Review and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, product submittals, change orders, extra service requests, and progress billings/pay applications.
• Conduct regular site visits and field observations to ensure quality.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project documents.
• Prepare punch lists and Certificates of Substantial Completion.
• Review and coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings and closeout documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing and resource allocation strategies.
• Participate in performance management and provide hiring recommendations.
• Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, standards, and improvements in processes.
• Coordinate project staffing requirements and scheduling effectively.
• Assist in managing project budgets and achieving financial goals.
• Monitor project performance and team utilization ratios.
• Identify and manage opportunities for additional services.
• Support the invoicing process, billing reviews, and collection activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction administration, architectural project management, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of architectural drawings and specifications.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with FHA, ADA, TCAC, and accessibility requirements.
• Experience with various construction types: Type I, II, III, and V.
• Background in project types such as mixed-use developments, podium projects, wrap developments, garden-style apartments, and modular construction.
