Architectural Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct site feasibility assessments and oversee pre-construction activities.

• Prior to Primer signing a lease, you will have already analyzed the financials. You will lead the code analysis and zoning reviews, coordinate traffic and parking studies, conduct test fits and space programming, and make the decision on whether to proceed with new sites. Additionally, you will develop the diligence playbook to streamline future site evaluations, reducing the time from weeks to days.

• Manage permitting and project oversight.

• You will oversee the permitting process across various jurisdictions, including building permits, fire life safety, ADA compliance, zoning variances, and changes of use. You'll coordinate with civil engineers, fire life safety specialists, and local architects for each project, establishing strong relationships with code officials and inspectors in each city to ensure efficient communication. You will manage multiple projects at different stages, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Specify FF&E and product requirements.

• You will research and specify the furniture, equipment, and branded materials utilized in every Primer campus. You will create a vendor list and product catalog for other teams to utilize. Moreover, you will identify value engineering opportunities that cut costs without compromising the quality of the student experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural project management, interior design, or a related field, demonstrating genuine ownership from design through to construction.

• Experience in establishing design standards or creating prototypes for multi-location rollouts is a significant advantage.

• A background in educational institutions, retail, or hospitality, where the physical environment significantly impacts users.

• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, fire life safety standards, zoning laws, and permitting processes across various jurisdictions.

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools, along with familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana).

• You will be responsible for producing the standards and playbooks that other team members will utilize.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and vendors simultaneously without losing focus.
