Architect – ServiceNow IRM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, maturity assessments, design sessions, and solution evaluations.

• Convert business, risk, regulatory, operational, and technical requirements into scalable solution architectures, implementation strategies, roadmaps, and future-state operating models.

• Oversee the architecture, design, and delivery of ServiceNow IRM solutions encompassing risk, compliance, audit, third-party risk, business continuity, operational resilience, regulatory change, and issues management.

• Establish solution architecture that includes data models, security protocols, risk taxonomies, control frameworks, assessment methodologies, issues, indicators, approvals, workflows, integrations, and reporting.

• Offer architectural supervision and focused hands-on assistance while mentoring Engineers through configuration, development, testing, and deployment processes.

• Counsel clients on governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, policy management, auditing, third-party risk, business continuity, and resilience strategies.

• Design integrations with enterprise platforms, data repositories, regulatory content providers, security technologies, financial systems, and business applications.

• Define integration patterns, APIs, data mappings, transformation rules, reconciliation logic, synchronization schedules, error handling, monitoring, and support requirements.

• Create data architecture and governance strategies for IRM information.

• Formulate reporting and analytics strategies, including KPIs, KRIs, dashboards, Performance Analytics, and executive reporting.

• Assess ServiceNow Otto, AI Control Tower, automation, and agentic workflows with suitable responsible-use controls.

• Produce architecture documents, integration designs, data models, process flows, functional specifications, architectural decisions, and technical documentation.

• Set technical standards and review configurations, workflows, integrations, automation, and reporting processes.

• Provide technical guidance, assign design and configuration tasks, resolve complex challenges, and validate completed work.

• Establish acceptance criteria and supervise testing, deployment readiness, production transition, and post-deployment stabilization.

• Identify architectural risks, technical debt, assumptions, dependencies, and design challenges; create mitigation strategies.

• Assist in business development through pre-sales discovery, demonstrations, technical workshops, solution scoping, proposals, SOWs, RFP responses, estimates, and pricing inputs.

• Contribute to the development of reusable service offerings, methodologies, reference architectures, accelerators, templates, and training materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience with the ServiceNow platform.

• At least three years concentrating on ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management.

• Experience in a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar architecture role.

• Proven track record of leading enterprise ServiceNow implementations through discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and adoption phases.

• Experience in conducting stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, design sessions, solution evaluations, and executive-level presentations.

• Comprehensive understanding of governance, risk management, compliance, internal controls, policy management, audits, assessments, third-party risk, and associated business processes.

• Experience managing multiple technical and functional workstreams while balancing competing priorities and deliverables in a consulting context.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams and mentor consultants and engineers.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is a must.

• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent based on client and project needs.

• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow IRM applications, data models, workflows, workspaces, and related platform capabilities.

• Experience in designing solutions across ServiceNow IRM applications.

• Solid working knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, application scope, data models, security, access controls, reporting, dashboards, and platform governance.

• Experience in designing IRM workflows, assessments, risk and control processes, policies, audits, issues, indicators, approvals, taxonomies, attestations, and related automation.

• Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services, APIs, Integration Hub, MID Server, import sets, and transform maps.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, business rules, and ServiceNow scripting and automation.

• Familiarity with data migration, Automated Test Framework, source control, application deployment, update management, release management, and ServiceNow upgrade practices.

• Acquaintance with ServiceNow Otto, AI Control Tower, and AI-enabled or agentic workflow capabilities, including governance, security, privacy, explainability, human oversight, and responsible-use considerations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Preferred certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and Compliance, Certified Application Developer, or other relevant ServiceNow certifications.

• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, COSO, COBIT, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CIS Controls, and FFIEC is preferred.

• Preferred experience supporting regulated industries and related ServiceNow capabilities.
