This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take charge of the technical architecture and solution design for Oracle RMS, Allocation, and related integrations.
• Provide technical guidance across the comprehensive Oracle Retail v11 suite.
• Convert functional and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead the documentation of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).
• Conduct assessments of technical feasibility, impact analysis, and effort estimation.
• Guide and mentor developers and technical specialists in Oracle Retail.
• Distribute development tasks and oversee delivery timelines.
• Evaluate code, technical designs, and deliverables for quality assurance and compliance.
• Establish and enforce standards for coding, design, integration, and documentation.
• Supervise integrations between RMS, Allocation, and other Oracle Retail modules utilizing Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB).
• Develop integration architecture, data governance, and best practices for reliability and maintainability.
• Assess the downstream and upstream impacts of changes.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for urgent production issues.
• Lead the identification of root causes and resolution of application, integration, and batch-processing challenges.
• Drive performance optimization across SQL, PL/SQL, batch processing, RIB messaging, and Unix processes.
• Implement sustainable corrective and preventive measures for recurrent issues.
• Oversee patch management and plan for technical upgrades.
• Define strategies for environment and release management across Development, Test, UAT, and Production.
• Evaluate risks associated with releases and deployments.
• Coordinate cutover and implementation activities in production.
• Support batch scheduling and operational processes using Autosys and/or Control-M.
• Collaborate with functional leads, business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams.
• Coordinate with Oracle Support on product issues, patches, and strategic technical concerns.
• Advise project and program leadership on solution alternatives, risks, dependencies, and efforts involved.
• Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and future-state planning for Oracle Retail.
• Assist in pre-sales and solutioning efforts, including developing technical solutions and estimating efforts.
• 9–12 years of relevant technology experience, with significant expertise in Oracle Retail.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and Oracle Retail Allocation.
• Proven experience working within Oracle Retail v11 environments.
• Demonstrated success in leading Oracle Retail development or technical teams.
• Experience in delivering complex enhancements, integrations, and production support within large retail settings.
• Proficient in technical estimation, impact assessment, and solution design.
• In-depth technical knowledge of Oracle RMS and Allocation.
• Comprehensive understanding of the broader Oracle Retail v11 suite.
• Advanced skills in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB).
• Knowledge of Oracle Retail batch architecture and processing.
• Expertise in performance tuning and optimization.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with Autosys and/or Control-M.
• Knowledge of integration architecture and troubleshooting.
• Experience in environment, release, and patch management.
• Skills in technical design and documentation.
• Experience in production support and root-cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of pack management, purchase order management, allocation, inventory management, merchandise and inventory movements, as well as retail system integration and batch-processing dependencies.
• Proven experience in leading technical development teams.
• Strong ability in architecture and solution design.
• Capability to mentor developers and establish technical standards.
