This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Deliver senior technical leadership and expertise across project teams.
• Direct technical design, development, implementation strategies, and significant system enhancements.
• Convert ACG business strategies and customer requirements into technological solutions.
• Ensure that designs are in alignment with enterprise IT plans and specifications.
• Facilitate governance and operational planning activities.
• Sanction system designs.
• Assist in implementing security audit controls.
• Contribute to financial monitoring and budget forecasts.
• Create and maintain application solutions.
• Support the development of applications, including mobile apps and websites.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain DB2 databases.
• Work with DB2 version 9.7 or later on UNIX derivative operating systems.
• Provide support for 24x7 production environments utilizing DB2 databases accessed by web and workstation applications.
• Work with UNIX, AIX, and Linux operating systems as database environments.
• Offer technical leadership and guidance on application design and integration.
• Develop design specifications and technical architecture solutions based on business needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving intricate business challenges.
• Background in designing, developing, implementing, and/or supporting complex mainframe and/or distributed information systems.
• Experience in architecting or integrating sophisticated mainframe and/or distributed information systems.
• Expertise in defining technical and functional requirements for complex applications.
• Skilled in structured systems analysis, design, programming, and testing.
• Familiarity with evaluating and installing vendor application packages.
• Experience in providing technical leadership and guidance to project teams regarding design and integration with existing applications.
• Knowledge of software reengineering tools and techniques.
• Understanding of enterprise application architecture.
• Experience in developing design specifications and technical architecture solutions based on business requirements.
• Involvement in large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of complex application design, database design, and intricate systems integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex issues in testing or production environments.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as COBOL and COBOL II.
• Knowledge of operating systems including MVS, Windows, and UNIX.
• Understanding of database management systems like Oracle, IMS DB, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of online communication systems such as IMS DC and CICS.
• Familiarity with Joint Application Design (JAD) and Rapid Application Design (RAD) methodologies.
• Understanding of enterprise-wide data and process modeling.
• Knowledge of technology and design standards, operational practices, and security and control protocols.
• Extensive knowledge in at least one business process, product, mission-critical application system, application system under development, or key strategic technology area.
