This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize GenAI and LLM-centered ML/AI methodologies to design, expand, and incorporate model systems into extensive cloud-based SaaS healthcare settings.
• Architect, construct, and assess healthcare solutions that encompass predictive models, summarization, and semantic search functionalities.
• Conduct research, experimentation, data management, and model assessment.
• Create high-level solution architectures in collaboration with offshore big-data engineers and decision science analysts.
• Develop, test, and evaluate models aimed at predicting and enhancing client business results.
• Uphold responsible AI practices, ensuring quality, fairness, and safety through methods like LLM-as-judge, RAGAS, and LangSmith.
• Convert intricate insights into straightforward, measurable business impacts for clients.
• Facilitate client discussions regarding architecture design and troubleshooting processes.
• Offer proactive solutions while mentoring senior resources and team leaders.
• Collaborate with product, clinical, data science, engineering, and offshore delivery teams.
• Share expertise, contribute positively to team culture, and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Provide thought leadership and promote industry best practices.
• Lead technology teams and enhance their performance.
• Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, guiding projects from concept to execution.
• Compose clear reports that are accessible to a diverse audience.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Ph.D. holder with over 1 year in a related industry role OR a Master's degree holder with 4+ years of industry experience, including at least 1 year specifically in healthcare ML/AI.
• Proven track record with multiple major product launches in a commercial SaaS landscape.
• Practical experience with healthcare data, including EHR, ADT, and clinical notes.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Strong skills in SQL and data engineering tailored for AI/ML applications.
• Familiarity with large data sets and big data frameworks, including Azure Data Lake, Apache Spark, or Databricks.
• Knowledge of transformer models and LLM-oriented strategies.
• Hands-on experience with prompt tuning and PEFT methods such as LoRA and QLoRA using Hugging Face Transformers.
• Proficient in tools such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and LightGBM.
• Experience deploying models on platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and scaling production ML.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning or RLHF, NLP techniques, RAG pipelines, or agentic frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, conflict resolution, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Proven experience leading multiple large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Desirable: expertise in statistical tools and techniques, as well as Agile/Scrum/DevOps practices.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
