AI Research Scientist, Creative Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of AI/ML development and deployment, including research, model training, offline and online assessment, and large-scale product implementation.

• Collaborate closely with fellow research scientists and engineers to seamlessly incorporate models into business applications and platforms.

• Act as a cross-functional subject matter expert to identify high-impact opportunities, establish roadmaps, and prioritize research investments.

• Propel execution in partnership with engineering, product, and creative teams.

• Articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to influence strategic choices.

• Push the boundaries of innovation and deliver advancements that improve the content discovery experience for Netflix members.

• Engage with the machine learning community, both internally and externally, to learn, educate, and contribute to the development of the Netflix brand.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundation in AI/ML, with practical experience in training, evaluating, and deploying vision-language models and multimodal LLM systems.

• Proven research impact in computer vision and multimodal learning, demonstrated by publications in top-tier conferences and journals.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with popular ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• MS or PhD in ML, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

• Established track record of providing clarity and leading ambitious roadmaps to address complex challenges.

• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking ownership, and thriving with minimal supervision and processes.

• Experience in creating agentic workflows and systems for multimodal search and understanding is a plus.
