Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to define outcomes, shape the product vision, and convert requirements into actionable architectural solutions.

• Create architecture blueprints, as well as high-level and low-level designs, along with technical decision records and implementation guidance.

• Design secure, scalable, and reusable services, APIs, data storage patterns, integration methods, user experience capabilities, and common components.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on implementation through prototyping, code reviews, pair design, design assurance, and managing technical debt.

• Choose appropriate technologies, promote reuse, establish development standards, and assist in creating common frameworks or accelerators.

• Engage in planning and estimation, maintain the architecture backlog, and make trade-offs concerning cost, risk, quality, security, and time-to-market.

• Work in coordination with architects, security, platform, and engineering teams to ensure designs align with enterprise standards and delivery constraints.

• Implement AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices to enhance delivery, quality, documentation, testing, and developer productivity.

• Articulate architecture to stakeholders and assist engineers with implementation specifics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive architectural experience in cloud-native applications, integration, data, and security domains.

• Proficient in software engineering with at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.

• Confidence in reading and reviewing production code.

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted delivery workflows, including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, or similar tools.

• Practical experience with Azure, covering compute, storage, networking, security, Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, and tenant-aware identity patterns.

• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes, preferably AKS.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.

• Ability to design access management, authentication, and authorization patterns.

• Understanding of compliance, in-application security, secure-by-design principles, and enterprise technology standards.

• Experience in designing for reusability, maintainability, observability, cost optimization, and technical debt management.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, product teams, engineers, and architects across distributed teams.

• Experience with internal developer platforms, reusable engineering assets, or platform marketplace models.

• Knowledge of generative AI solution patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt evaluation, automated testing, and AI governance guardrails.

• Familiarity with enterprise UX patterns, workflow automation, and low-code/no-code capabilities.

• Desirable certifications include Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer, TOGAF, SAFe, or equivalent.

• Proficient in advanced English.
